Thebe River Safaris is ideally situated for visitors to the Chobe Park and Chobe River area in Northern Botswana. Our lodge and camp overlook the placid Chobe River and echo the surrounding bush with a rustic design. We are 12km from the Kazungula border and 5km from the Chobe Park entrance. Our restaurant and bar provide welcome food and drinks and visitors can enjoy the sparkling swimming pool. Thebe River Safaris was started in 1994 by Jan van Wyk with a single land cruiser. The business has expanded over the intervening years into a bustling lodge and camp in Kasane, Chobe. Jan's original idea of sharing the wonders of the Chobe Park with visitors has continued with Game Drives, Cruises and Mobile Safaris taking guests into the true African wilderness. Facilities at Thebe River Lodge include Twin Room and Family Room accommodation in addition to Camping Facilities.

All guests at Thebe River Lodge have access to our Spacious Dining Area and the Bush Bar and a pool to soak in the Botswana Sun.

Thebe River Lodge offers an Activity Centre where you can book a variety of activities on offer in the region and transfers to all the regional Airports and towns.

Thebe River Restaurant offers the chance to unwind after a long, hot day of exploring the Chobe National Park or after arriving from a distant destination or just anytime you feel like cold drinks, good food and varied company in the rustic restaurant and bar area overlooking the placid Chobe River.

Guests can enjoy a fine meal or drinks from the bar and take a swim in the inviting pool if the weather gets hot which it does often in Kasane.

THEBE RIVER ROOMS

Thebe River Safaris lodge offers a family room and twin rooms. All rooms are en-suite and are fitted with shower supplying ample near-instant piping hot water. All beds are mosquito netted ensuring a peaceful night's sleep and all units are fully air-conditioned.

The Family Room contains a double bed which leads through an interleading door to a room with two single beds - perfect for families. Twin rooms contain two single beds. All rooms are serviced daily and have tea/coffee stations throughout.

Thebe River Safaris camp offers spacious camping areas with covered cooking areas. Ablutions are shared and we have 2 large communal ablution blocks with showers with loads of piping hot water, basins, mirrors and toilets.
